A four-line zipline opened in Connecticut on 15 March 2018. HighFlyer, is 350 feet in the air, off the rooftop of Fox Tower and landing over 3,700 feet away at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. Foxwoods Resort Casino recently announced that it will begin building a high-performance, European-style indoor go-kart track that it expects to open early next year. Foxwoods is teaming up with On Track Karting to build the track. The attraction will provide guests with a motorsport feel on one of the longest and fastest indoor kart-runs ever constructed. The multi-level track will feature gas-powered, 9-horsepower karts that give drivers the power and control necessary for the ultimate high-speed rush.
Maine
New in 2018, at TimberStone Adventures Inc., is an experience where visitors can hike to a private mountaintop castle with panoramic views, while their gear is towed up a 300’ cable bridge. Visitors can also enjoy the wooded 18-hole public disc golf course. Massachusetts
This summer the Greater Boston CVB will unveil a digital map for the Path of Presidents. The Path of Presidents reveals a catalogue of presidential history in Greater Boston, from presidents who were born here, went to school here or otherwise made an impact on this region.
Tourists: A new 46-room resort is coming to North Adams, The Berkshires, Massachusetts in summer 2018. Tourists is aimed at people with a passion for the outdoors and will feature expansive views of the forested riverside. Museum of Dog: In February 2018, North Adams opened a new, one-of-a-kind museum dedicated to all things dogs. Located blocks from the country’s largest contemporary art museum, Mass MoCA, Museum of Dog (M.O.D) will feature a private collection of dog inspired paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and accessories. The 8,000 square-foot historic space, at the merging point of Union Street and the Mohawk Trail, formerly housed Quinn’s Wallpaper & Paint. From 8 May – 20 May 2018, there will be 16 days of sailing in Newport, Rhode Island at the Volvo Ocean Race.
Rail Explorers comes to Portsmouth, Rhode Island in 2018. From 12 May – November 2018, visitors can explore the trails and take a scenic ride along historic Aquidneck Island and Narragansett Bay on a pedal powered “Rail Explorers” vehicle.
