Discover New England and their state partners once again came down to Australia and New Zealand as part of their key trade mission in October.
Various trade events and training sessions were held with key tour operators and wholesalers across Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.
In Auckland and Sydney top producers, key airline and wholesale accounts and travel media were treated to a cooking lesson by a New England inspired chef who demonstrated the famous New England Clam Chowder. Invited guests were then able to use their very own cooking skills with a New England host and recreate this dish themselves as part of a cooking school group. All guests received a Discover New England inspired cook book as a takeaway from the event.
The Honourable Ambassador to the USA from New Zealand, Scott Brown, a former senator in New England attended the event to strengthen and show his support to the importance of the USA tourism relationship.
