Park City Utah paves the way in resort enhancements for the 2015-2016 ski season.
The majestic Wasatch Range overlooking Salt Lake City is covered in snow as the first of Utah’s premier 14 ski resorts opens for the 2015-2016 ski season this week and news of millions of dollars in development makes the headlines.
Over 100 million dollars in on-mountain capital improvements are set to be debuted across the state, treating visiting skiers and boarders to new terrain and on-mountain enhancements, plus new lifts, and remodeled accommodation for the 2015-2016 ski season. Parent company to Park City, Vail Resorts is the stand out in the midst of a $50 million dollar transformational capital program that will connect Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort, the Park City connection will create the largest resort in the United States boasting 7,300 skiable acres for visitors to enjoy this season. $35 million dollars in capital improvements will crown Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort with a new mountain top facility named Summit Lodge, a cafeteria featuring spectacular 360-degree eagle eye views from 3350 metres. Capital improvements also continued at Deer Valley Resort announcing a new high-speed quad Summit Express chairlift assisting skiers and boarders to easily access Honeycomb Canyon, offering some of the best in-bound backcountry terrain in the state.
Utah is home to The Greatest Snow on Earth® and boasts over 1270 cms of snow on average per season.
