Grapevine, Texas host a series of Virtual Familiarisation programs for a period of 4 months from September through to December 2020.
Your local host Heather Egan (Director of Leisure and International Sales) was live and takes you on a journey around Grapevine, Texas to bring its exciting events and iconic tourism sites right to you in the comfort of your home or office.
Our first Virtual FAM in the series, where we walked around Main Street and Historic Downtown Grapevine, you can watch it here online – YouTube Grapevine Main Street Virtual FAM. During the webinar, Heather took us around Main Street Grapevine where we got to see the almost 3 meter tall Would-Be Train Robbers near the top of the 8 meter tall Glockenspiel, the vintage railway station that is along the Cotton Belt Rail and many other amazing uniquely Grapevine shops and sites.
Our second Virtual FAM in the series, Heather took us on a tour with Kalee Wulfers from Grapevine Food Tour and Kelli Sattler from Grapevine Wine Tours. We went to 5 different stops where we got to experience some wine at Messina Hof Winery, frozen Margaritas and deep fried avocado at Esparzas, Heather tried her hand at sabering at Off The Vine, we tasted some amazing olive oil at Grapevine Olive Oil Company. and ending with a spaghetti pizza at Farina’s Winery & Cafe, you can watch it here online – YouTube Grapevine Food & Wine Virtual FAM.
On our third Virtual FAM, Heather came to us live for the floor of Grapevine’s newest landmark, Grapevine Main, which is due to open on 21 November 2020. We then had a tour of the Gaylord Texan Resort. Overlooking beautiful Lake Grapevine, the magnificent Gaylord Texan Resort pays tribute to everything Texas on a grand scale. We then moved on the Great Wolf Lodge. Splash up some water fun at the Great Wolf Lodge’s 80,000 square foot waterpark, the only indoor waterpark in North Texas. We ended at the newly opened Hotel Vin. The gateway to Grapevine’s historic district and part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, Hotel Vin will embrace the city’s unique and historic past, while paving the path for its future with the latest in innovation and amenities to meet the needs of today’s modern traveler. For our Fourth Virtual FAM in the series, Heather had a chat live with Tom T. Turkey from his home at Nash Farm following the pardon, these traditional Thanksgiving activities kick off the Christmas activities that take place and are the reason that Grapevine is known as the Christmas Capital of Texas. On our fifth and final Virtual FAM in the series yesterday, where we were live on location at Vetro Glass Blowing Studio where Heather made her very own Christmas tree ornament, and we saw the festivals and activities that give Grapevine the reason it is known as the Christmas Capital of Texas.
