The Utah Office of Tourism courtesy of Canuckiwi negotiated an exclusive multiyear destination partnership with City2Surf / Ironman Oceania that provided the State of Utah with massive exposure to the Australian database of City2Surf Sydney through a multi-faceted partnership. The Sun – Herald City2Surf is the largest mass participation fun run in the world with over 89 000 runners taking in a popular course beginning in Sydney, CBD and finishing in world famous Bondi Beach.
The partnership included both pre and post event edm messaging, social posts on City2Surf channels, blog posts highlighting Utah as a travel destination, a contest mechanic including support from United Airlines, on course branding and messaging, a major finish line activation marquee including social photography mosaic & VIP client hosting opportunity for the Utah Office of Tourism.
We integrated the City2Surf partnership within the 2019 Utah Office of Tourism annual sales mission that allowed a number of key Utah Office of Tourism partners to engage with the activation while also hosting key trade & media partners to the fun run event and finish line festivities.
