Lara’s 20 years of experience in the travel industry has seen her gain and impart valuable first hand knowledge at both retail and wholesale travel level.
Lara started out in retail travel, based in South Africa, and then moved on to Wholesale for an East Africa specialist. On moving to New Zealand over ten years ago she joined Adventure World to be part of the Africa and South America wholesale specialist team. Lara then moved up into the group’s team where she and soon became team leader managing the small team. Over the last 3 years she has helped the team grow from strength to strength maintaining their current agent base as well as increasing their business within the group’s team. Specialising in all types of groups business from school groups, sports teams, and wedding groups to incentive and leisure groups. She takes pride in great organisation and attention to detail.
Having lived most of her life in South Africa and travelled on a number of safaris through Kenya and Tanzania. Lara’s travel highlights include South Africa, the mighty Victoria Falls, deserted beach’s of the Seychelles, spotting the tigers in India, cycling in Vietnam and more recently visiting the untouched sights of Myanmar.
Lara joined Canuckiwi over four years ago in a role of trade and consumer support managing account administration including reporting, tracking earned media values and client logistics at Canuckiwi. She is now Client Manager and has formed great relationships with our clients on a day to day basis. Lara has just recently been appointed to the VUSA New Zealand board and will continue to look after all of our interests within that group that services the USA.
