Whilst Canadians, New Zealanders and Australians did their part to stay home during unprecedented times and Covid-19 lockdowns, Canuckiwi launched a destination training series aimed at Canadian, Australian and New Zealand agents.
With a database of highly engaged retail travel agents, the series focused on diving deeper into educating agents on destination clients in the United States. Each webinar was hosted in conjunction with an in-market member of the tourism board, offering first hand experience and knowledge.
And despite the remote educational method, the messages resonated with agents – one of whom may have solved her next family holiday decision as well as being more informed for clients. ‘I had the kids watch too, now everyone wants to go to Utah,’ says Amanda Cuff, helloworld Travel Richmond. Others found the webinars a nice distraction from the current gloom. ‘I am loving these weekly training webinars and getting to see the Canuckiwi team,’ says Kylie Andrews of Travel Managers. ‘Thank you for lifting our spirits, I can’t wait to get back to selling my way to the USA.’
Agents who participated in the webinars earnt additional points on their Sell Your Way to the USA tally sheets that counted towards qualifying for a spot on one of the fam trips, scheduled for early 2021 with American Airlines.
